Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening has become the most popular procedure in cosmetic dentistry. Because of this, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. Teeth whitening (or bleaching) is a non-invasive dental treatment used to change the color of natural tooth enamel and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile.

Teeth whitening can be done at home or in the dental office. Both methods can result in dramatic cosmetic changes. Since teeth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. If desired, replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the appearance of the newly bleached teeth.

Stained or discolored teeth are very common among adults of all ages. Staining of the enamel comes from a variety of sources, such as: tobacco, coffee, tea, or wine. Whitening may need to be touched up every few years, but it can make a change that will knock your socks off!
